Spent Sunday afternoon with friends, the Elden's. Eyla decided to try her skills at climbing their stairs...did fine on the way up, but took a nasty tumble on the way down. Picture the bruise you see on her forehead sitting on a goose egg the size of half a ping pong ball, and you'll have a pretty accurate picture of the results of the fall. She is fairly unconcerned about it, but it looks pretty bad! Still bruised in that place and just under her hairline today. I'm sure this is the first fall of many!

Weekend in Pettisville
So, I'll just post these pictures without ranting about how annoyed I am with the blog site.
Birthday pictures from the weekend in Pettisville...nephews Austin & Josh had birthdays this month, so we celebrated with them this weekend. I included a few pictures of presents, cake, cousins, Eyla with Pop & Grandma, playing outside, sleeping during the car ride, and Eyla's mad skills on the trike. Enjoy.

Cute pictures, annoying blog site
Seriously, I don't even know what to do with getting pictures to be where I want them, with captions in the proper place. I searched for help/suggestions, and got into people suggestions editing the HTML...yeah, right. Not interested in spending that much time or energy!! If any of you "normal" people (that don't mess with HTML) have any suggestions for me, I'm open!
Eyla and I spend some time outside yesterday, in the beautiful sunshine. Her pointing her her ears was her response when I asked if she heard the birds, and the "I don't know" shrug came when I asked her where the birds were!

Time in Bluffton...
We spent the night in Bluffton at Brendon & Renee's...had a great time. Here are a couple images of the fun!
This is a picture of the Chutes & Ladders game that I lost, miserably, to Clara & Olivia. I went down the same slide 4 times in a row...bah.
Nora during bath time.
Nora & Eyla hanging in the tub!
Cousins in frog pj's...can you tell which one is Nora? Eyla?
One of the many attempts to get a good picture of the 4 girls together, for Granma's birthday!
Eyla's looking a little goofy...kind of reminds me of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbs!
Coming home from dinner in Findlay.
Brendon & his three daughters, as we left their house. (Renee was at work this morning when we left, so we missed her for this final pic.)
So, I had some really great pictures to post...
...from our weekend, but the new update to the blogging site it ANNOYING!! I've just spent 30 minutes downloading them, and now am unable to figure out how to put captions. I don't plan to post then edit, so you'll all just have to wait. Sorry. Just to get you pumped to see them, the pictures include: Eyla's first Munchkin, our 3 wonderful nieces and Evans baby shower...stay tuned.

First surgical procedure
Eyla had tubes put in her ears this morning, which will hopefully take care of the numerous ear infections she has had in the last 4-5 months. She did great - didn't even cry when the nurse took her back in the surgery area, away from us. She was under anesthesia for about 4 minutes, completely done with the process from check-in to check-out in less than 2 hours. She was sad when I went back to her in the recovery area, mostly because they had a monitor connected to her toe, and it was bugging her! Once they took it off, and she could go find her Daddy, she was back to her happy, perky self!

Before tubes...

After tubes...not a whole lot of difference, is there?!?

Flat Top Grill, Cold Stone w/ special people
Took a trip up to Ft. Wayne after church on Sunday to have lunch with Devon & Kristen. We enjoyed a great meal at Flat Top, books/trains/Starbucks at Barnes & Noble and topped it all off with ice cream at Cold Stone. So good to see and spend time with Dev & Kristen, and hear where life will be taking them in the coming months (marriage, PA, etc.)

Eat your heart out, Uncle Doug! (Wish you were there to enjoy this with us!)

Train table - awesome idea, B & N! Great kids section, now that Eyla is old enough to enjoy books and toys and running around.

"Look, guys...this is how you hold chopsticks!"
