I intended to post these...

...soon after they were taken. Some are a bit older than others, but I thought you'd enjoy them anyway!

Eyla with her Horning cousins

This was one of the first standing moments when Eyla pulled herself up...now, two weeks later, it is a common occurrence.

Eyla with her Matthews cousins

I thought Eyla & Nora's expressions were both so precious that I flipped the picture around to highlight each one!

Last weekend

Eyla and I have the day off from work and daycare last Friday, so we had breakfast at The Toast with Friend Amanda.

Then, after Jas got off work around noon, we headed to Pemberville, OH where he ran a 5 mile race with Brendon, Deke and Andee.

Clara, Renee, Nora and Olivia waiting for the end of the race.

Hanging out at the Free Fair after the race...picture is a little blurry, but we are all there!!

I played in the BHS Alumni soccer game Saturday afternoon...Rochelle, Eva and I missed you!

A couple other pictures from the weekend:

What to do on a hot, Saturday afternoon...

The past week

With Aunt Rochelle, who visited us for a couple days in-between wedding photo shoots (http://elleephoto.com/). We had a great time!

At the park..."Hello, Mr. Steeck!"

Still at the park...

Time with Wolff friends.

E & Baby Lyra

So, this picture is a bit blurry (because I was laughing when I took it!) For some reason, Eyla has developed an issue with the song "I'll Fly Away". We can't get more than a line or two into it before she makes the saddest face (see left). If we continue further than the first line or two, she will start crying! We have no idea why she does this; she generally likes singing, but there is something about this song...cracks us up, but we don't want to permanently scar her, so we try to refrain from singing it...

Reaching for anything/everything she can get her hands on.

Gritting those teeth some more...and hanging in
the sling with her Mama! Too bad we both sweat too much to really use the sling regularly...

So cute...

I have a number of other pictures to post from hanging with friends and family in the last week or two, but don't want to spend the time at the moment...not to completely disappoint, here are a few pics of the cutest of the three of us (by the way, in case I don't post this weekend, E will be 8 months old on Saturday...crazy.)
This picture was a little blurry, but her expression is so funny! She has been giving some random toothy grins (and gritting her teeth - yuck) that just crack us up.

This is her first try with a sippy cup. She just thought it was a new chew toy...she got one drink, when I held her and the cup like she was drinking from a bottle. Oh, well, she'll figure it out sometime.

First, and probably last, bath in the kitchen sink. It was fun, but she splashed EVERYWHERE! And because there was no tub wall to stop it, I and the rest of the kitchen ended up getting a bath of our own. She loved it, as you can tell!

Sunday with friends

Spent a good part of the day with our old community housemates. Conner's, Danskey's and Hornings met at Panera for coffee, bagels and catching-up. Then, Danskey's & Hornings went to Indianapolis to meet the newest Wolff, Lyra Elizabeth Wolff, born yesterday. She is adorable and so tiny! So good to see all of you, especially Nathan & Teresa, who we havn't seen in over a year, since they have been on another continent!
