Christmas with the Hornings

We spent Dec. 25th -28th with my family in Pettisville, OH.
This is Eyla's cheesy grin in her Sunday best. The Sunday we were there marked my dad's last sunday as pastor of the Pettisville Missionary Church, after 22 yrs.

The rest of our weekend included:

Farkle

Wii

Eyla enjoying Uncle Jim telling us about his cruise boat missions trip.

And hanging out:

Eyla with Pop

Eyla with Uncle Jim

Eyla with Luke, Austin and Josh

And there were also gifts: lots of books, fun clothes, and a stroller from pop and grandma.

Christmas with the Matthews

Spent last weekend in Bluffton with the Matthews...wonderful time with family...leaves me wanting more and hoping for a day when more of us live closer together. Here are a few of the pictures from the weekend...I'll get a whole family picture on here, once I download it from Dad. I thought I had a lot of good ones, but I am reminded that I need to use my flash more, because once I download them and they are on a bigger screen, I realize they aren't as clear as I believe they are...boo.

Checking out the bow on the presents

Her "animallow" from her cousins, which we didn't open until we got home so her cousins wouldn't have a hint about what they were getting for Christmas!

Christmas program

Eyla had her first Christmas program at daycare last night...she was supposed to be a reindeer (hence, the red nose), but wouldn't keep the antlers on her head. So, she became a snowman (snowwoman??)...whatever she was, it was CUTE!!

Birthday celebration continued...

Continued to celebrate Eyla's birthday (week) this past Sunday with Granma & Granpa Matthews! Some pictures from our afternoon together...
Family picture in front of our Christmas tree...well, beside it would be more correct - if we were in front of it, you wouldn't be able to see it!

Eyla opening her card...the beautiful flower on the front was colored by cousin Clara!

Opening her present...

...its a baby doll! Hugging and kissing her baby...she also rocked it - very cute!

Cupcake number two in her life...although you can't tell by the picture, I don't think she liked chocolate cake as much as white cake! Definitely a bigger mess to clean up this time.

BMC Christmas Party

Spent the evening with co-worker's from Broadway Ministry Center...good food, even better white elephant gifts and awesome friends! Here are a few of the highlights:

Christmas tree

Finally got a Christmas tree today...smallest one to date in our house! Eyla-sized, meaning small enough to put on the table, out of her reach! She was a big fan of the ornaments.

Side-note: you'll notice my "new" piano in the background of this picture...just picked it up last night, thanks to help from the Linville's and the McDonough's!
