Swim suit in January

We got a temporary membership to a local health club, which also has a pool. This is Eyla sporting her new swimming suit that will hopefully fit through the summer, too.

This picture is a little blurry, but I thought it was cute enough to include! She has been putting this hair band on her head, around her neck, over her arm...I think it looks pretty cute - we may have to start with some of these for real!

Climbing/wrestling

Last night, before Eyla got her pajamas on, she was in a really fun, playful mood. All three of us ended up on the floor, rolling around and playing. She was climbing all over us. She thought it was all pretty funny, too!

First cut lip...looks worse than it was! I don't know for sure what she hit it on, but I think it was the piano bench. I didn't realize it was bleeding, until after she had put her binky in...hence the blood up near her nose! You can see that after the initial tears, she was pretty unconcerned.

Eyla does so well in the bathtub, even willing to lie down to rinse her hair...I know, it looks like I'm about to add another handful of soap, but we eventually rinse!

Back from the lull

Sorry for the blog silence - specific reason for it - but, we're back. I don't feel too bad when I'm checking other blogs that I follow, and they havn't been updated for a couple weeks...bazinga. (If you don't know what that means, you can check out The Big Bang Theory on CBS, Mondays at 9:30pm...one of our favorite shows).

These are some random pictures from the last couple weeks. It seems like every day, Eyla is going or saying something new. Some examples:

Reading with Pop & Grandma - they came yesterday and spend the weekend with us.


Building with blocks - natural wood ones from Aunt Rochelle & Uncle Doug, colored ones from IKEA. She really enjoys this, and does a really good job stacking them up...she also has some skill in taking some off the top and not knocking down the whole pile.

New Year's

If anyone were to ask Eyla where she spent New Year's Eve 2009, part of her answer would include "in the refrigerator." Her new favorite spot to sit...
